Fundraising Commitment: $2,800 including $350 non-refundable deposit
The Sacred Valley is known as the breadbasket of the Incas for its agricultural production that fed an empire. The picturesque valley sits at 10,000ft above sea level and is rich in history and archeological ruins, the most famous of which is Machu Picchu. This area and surrounding communities still take part in traditional farming practices well suited for harsh mountain terrain. Surf For Life volunteers will be supporting small-scale farmers and agricultural development in the Sacred Valley by assisting in the continued construction of an agricultural school in the community of Sacclio.
