The growing surf community of El Paredon is situated on the pacific coast of Guatemala about 2.5 hours from Guatemala City. Fishing and agriculture are the main industries but as word of mouth travels, surfing and tourism as local livelihoods, are gaining momentum. 
 

SFL is supporting the demolition and reconstruction of a vital school library in this coastal community. This

project builds upon a long-term legacy in El Paredón, where SFL has previously supported the community in

the construction of a high school, a computer center, and a school garden
